Q1) Where are you from?
Ans) I am from sweet home Alabama! I spent all of my life there in small towns until I moved here in August 2021 after graduating PT school. I had always wanted to live on the West Coast, and my fiancé got stationed at NAS Lemoore, which made that dream come true. I spend most weekend exploring new towns and destinations in California, and love all suggestions of new spots to check out!

Q2) What led you to work in this field?
Ans) I spent several years as a patient in physical therapy due to a rare knee injury when I was a teenager but never considered is as a career. A few years into college, I became very interested in exercise science and human anatomy. I fell in love with physical therapy because it allows me to help people return to their daily activities/hobbies in a holistic manner. I also tore a ligament in my knee in college and had surgery, so Ive experienced how painful and hard a rehabilitation can be!

She’s very funny and loves to cuddle. I had to do a DNA test on her to figure out what kind of dog she is- turns out, she’s different breeds! A true mutt with the biggest personality.

Travis Webb, DPT - Downtown Fresno Clinical Director

Q1) What led you to work in this field?
Ans)  I actually did not even know physical therapy was a thing until I needed one at the age of 24! I had sustained a pretty bad finger injury from climbing, and I liked my PT and the way he interacted with his patients so much that I shadowed him afterward and ultimately ended up choosing to become a PT.

Q2) Do you prefer staying up late or waking up early in the morning?
Ans)  Late all the way! So it’s been a bit tough getting used to a 7 a.m. start time, haha. I’ve always found that I get a “second wind” after 9 p.m. or so, and my wife usually goes to bed around that time, so it always worked out best for me to study or get work done later at night.

Q3) If you were to write a memoir about your life, what would you title it?
Ans)  - “Wandering but not Lost: A Tale by Travis Webb”
- My journey thus far has been pretty cattywampus, but my varied interests and experiences tie into each other better than they might seem at first glance. Also, when I travel to new places, I often like to just wander and enjoy the new sights, but people tend to think I look lost. Nope, just enjoying a good spat of wandering!
